I have been teaching for 30 years. Ten of those years were as a headteacher in a primary school, and 15 as SENCo. I started off with a PhD in biochemistry and transferred to primary teaching. I have qualifications in SEN and in teaching dyslexic pupils. For the past 3 years I have been a learning support teacher in the Netherlands. What I offer here are resources that I wish I had at an earlier date. I hope they are useful.

Part 1 - helps children to link the sounds of the letters to pictures. Uses these sounds to make words and reinforces the words with pictures. Repetition and reinforcement help to promote reccall.
Part 2 - Repetition of the letter sounds. The pictures are then shown and the children have a short time to write them down before they see them.
