A series of lessons and supporting resources on the book The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart. I taught this to a year 8 class working at levels 5 to top end of 6. The book is fantastic BUT very long! There will be a number of packs uploaded separately as there are about 30 lessons and resources.

This SOW focuses on the Ancient Egyptians whilst improving students writing skills. It concludes with a final assessment based around the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb. These worksheets/activities can be paired with class/ independent research tasks and various comprehension activities.
