Once the children have understood the word type, they can work as a class to think of as many examples as possible to consolidate learning. There is extended learning on adverbs where the children develop their understanding of the different purposes of adverbs: adverbs of time, place, manner, frequency or degree. I have also included a sorting activity that children can complete independently, in pairs, in groups or as a class. Enjoy!
