A resource for your phonics input on “ea”.
This resource contains speedy sound flashcard slides, some word blending and common /high frequency words (all can be amended to suit your learners) as well as slides for teaching the “ea” sound. The children say and write the “ea” grapheme, spell and read words containing the “ea” phoneme. These work best with magnetic letter boards/magnetic letters and mini whiteboards.
I am selling the same slides for different phonemes so please check out my store!
In this resource there are 5 different tasks. In the first task students have to match pictures to words.
In the second task there is a Bingo Game. Word cards and pictures to draw are included.
The third task includes different sentences and students have to match pictures to sentences.
The next task is a handout. The first part of the handout includes a set of words to read. Then students have to complete the sentences by writing the right word according to the picture shown.
In the last task there are two comprehensions. The first comprehension is easier than the second one as students have to choose the right answer. The other comprehension has a similar text but it is more challenging as students have to answer the questions.

Now included is a page of alien words to practice along side the other words.
This multisensory packet includes:
Title page; informational page; script; introductory multisensory lesson of "ea;" two pages of words with "ea (short ea)," one list is basic, the second page i words are advanced; phrases and controlled sentences for reading fluency practice; writing activity; word Search -This is not an activity for all students-either students love this activity or hate it. If students do not want to do, please refrain. Why? Students with memory, processing, and visual difficulties will struggle and usually become frustrated. But high school age students often go to this page first because they enjoy word searches. Word searches help to internalize the spelling of the words, by slowing down and repeatedly saying the letters/sounds of each word.
