A timeless collection of poetry for children, learning based yet filled with humour and imagination, of which there is a relevant degree of depth. Embracing rhythm and rhyme, this collection is endearing to creative thinkers alike.

This is unit of work is comprised of 20 lessons, 60 minutes in duration. Some of the lessons may carry over into a second day depending on speed and ability of class. These lessons address context (for better understanding), language, written techniques, character analysis, themes, symbolism, extract analysis, exam question breakdown, model answers and practise exam questions. This SOW was created to the Edexcel exam board requirements for the 19th Century Novel Literature unit.
