A one sheet factsheet on Ratio, Proportion and rates of Change for GCSE Foundation Maths 9-1. A handy factsheet to help learners remember methods and useful scaffold when working on exam style questions
This is a bundle of 18 geography knowledge organisers including everything that students need for the new (2016) AQA GCSE 1-9 Geography. This is for secondary school students. Each knowledge organiser follows topics for the new GCSE. Additionally there are three knowledge organisers for cartographic skills, statistical skills and graphical skills. The case studies and examples mainly follow the AQA Geography 1-9 GCSE Oxford textbook.
Each knowledge organiser includes a glossary (of key words recommended by the exam board), as well as key content, examples, case studies and diagrams.
Knowledge organisers can be used in many ways. Laminate and use them as desk matts in lessons, to support EAL, SEN and all students. Print them and give them to students at the end of teaching each topic. Or make a booklet of them all to give to students before their exam. As a bundle they can replace the need for revision guides. A cover page is also included to allow you to make a booklet. The cover page includes contents and tips for revising using knowledge organisers.
How can students use them at home and in school? Students can try blurting, writing glossaries, creating their own knowledge organisers, quizing each other, making flash cards, writing their own questions, answering past papers, creating fact files, making case study cards and forming mind maps. Instructions on how to do this is included in the cover page, in the bundle.

Continuation of blog started in September 2011.
As a practising theist, who tries to respond to all the ups and downs of life from a spiritual perspective, I feel that my life experiences may be a useful resource.
Some have been kind enough to encourage me with this. A few people tell me that they read it regularly, so for them and any other casual readers I continue.
The one on 29th and 30th includes 2 photos of the kitties aged 4 weeks
best wishes and love to all

I’ve adapted these from a specific company, as I felt they needed to be in colour and were missing a number of key areas on the pages, so I’ve added extra pages and information. These cover all of AQA GCSE PE theory topics and units. You can adapt them for end of topic/unit revision aids, or put them on the back of literacy mats on tables to enhance teaching and learning, as A3 posters, etc.
For the past two years, the Standards Unit Mathematics Team has been working with over 200 teachers1 across 40 organisations nationwide to develop and improve the teaching and learning of
mathematics in the learning and skills sector. The approaches and materials contained in this resource are the result of this work.
A resource pack for careers education and information, advice and guidance practitioners. Produced by the Centre for Science Education. (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths)
We live in an era in which there is now a growing recognition that ‘wise use’ rather than ‘protectionism’ is a more constructive long term conservation policy. Well managed grouse moors are clearly involved in activities that benefit the maintenance of this internationally important habitat and its unique diversity of moorland species.
This package includes
• an extensive PowerPoint presentation covering all aspects of the Heather Moorland and its management. It focuses on the crucial role of the gamekeeper in sound conservation based on everyday practice.
• NGO Educational Trust’s Heather Moorland Notes
• GWCT’s Natures Gain report
• Hen Harrier and Joint Raptor Study
• and many more study materials
The NGO Educational Trust are indebted to the many individuals and organisations who have provided material, especially high-quality photographs. Particular thanks must also go to Amanda Anderson at the Moorland Association, Dr Stephen Tapper and Julie Ewald at The Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust and to Lindsay Waddell who has provided guidance and advice throughout the project.
