31+ Room Labels (French, Spanish and combined)

Just in time for going back to school, here’s something quick and easy to decorate your classroom with! With these around your room, the kids have no excuse not to use the target language to ask for permission to use something. Also would be ideal in a primary school classroom so your kids can be exposed to the language they are learning everyday. Each label is colour-coded to show the gender of the object and includes a beautifully designed icon that makes it clear what it is showing, which useful if the object itself is hidden or to stop any confusion between items like the window and the blinds. I decided all the icons used on these from scratch and also have made these available to use for your own powerpoints and handouts if you wish. Ten of the labels are smaller sizes which are designed either to label trays/drawers, or to print two-to-a-sheet for even smaller labels (if you want to label a pen pot for example). They are all available in both French and Spanish as well as a combined version that shows both. The labels include, so far: Pen Marker Pencil Felt tip Scissors Eraser Paper Scrap paper Glue sticks Mini-whiteboards Floor Ceiling Wall Window Drawers Cupboard Desk Dictionaries Door Chair Table Exercise books Shelves Speaker Whiteboard Bin Recycling bin Blinds Interactive whiteboard Lights (I put this by the light switch) Clock Think of something you’re missing? Either let me know in a comment after buying or, before you buy, contact me through my website: www.mjhaxby.co.uk I’m also open to the idea of making a German version, but want to know if there is demand for this first!

AfL Confidence Rating

This pack contains three different resources. One set of tray labels for collecting books in. Pupils then assess their level of confidence in the lesson and put their book on the appropriate pile. This helps you to identify which books will need that extra amount of care when marking. One set of desk cards that pupils can use to show their confidence rating during the lesson. Either encourage them to place their eraser on the emoji that matches how they feel or when you are walking around you could build a routine where they simply point to how they are feeling at that time as you cast a cursory glance over their work One set of exit posters that pupils can put a a blank post-it on (or even a question or comment) as they leave the classroom to show how they are feeling about a topic or single lesson. This works well if you think your pupils will be more honest with anonymity or if the pupils are taking their work home. Each resource contains a Red/ Amber/ Green rating system which is accompanied by an emoji and words making it suitable across ages and ability levels and perfect for SEND classes. This is a very easy to implement AfL system that encourages pupils to take note of how they are feeling in relation to their learning.

Surds MAGIC BOX ACTIVITY

(1)
A differentiated activity that gets students out of their seats. A change from worksheet activities. Print each of the PDFs on the appropriate coloured paper. There are 12 different questions in each set. You may need to copy enough for each student to complete all the questions (just in case). How I use it: Students complete a RAGB differentiated activity to enable them to self-assess and select the appropriate colour to start on (example slide included). They then go to the ‘magic box’ with that colour label, pick out a card, take it back to their desk, stick it in their book, and answer the question. When they have answered 3 questions they self-assess using answers provided (usually turned upside down next to the appropriate magic box). If they get all 3 correct they can move onto the next colour box, or alternatively can decide to complete the remaining 3 questions in that colour for further practice. If they get any wrong, they MUST seek help from a peer or the teacher to understand why. They then complete the remaining 3 questions and avoid making the same mistakes again. The magic boxes are labelled Red, Amber and Green. I ALWAYS have blue extension activities available for any student who completes the Green activity and needs to be challenged further (usually exam or problem solving questions).

Generic Extension Task Stickers + Stretch & Challenge Activities

112 different stickers tasks. I have now included an editable version so can print particular stickers and change it on to different sticker formats if required. They can be used as extension stickers, pupils come up and pick one and stick it into their book and complete the task. Or Can be used as stretch and challenge stickers for fast finishes and revision aid for the more able students. You can download and print them multiple times. I personally use them for GCSE PE and put them on a back desk and pupils when completing tasks go and help themselves, they pick different tasks. I award house points if they complete so many in a lesson. Applicable to most topics, all tasks are generic and are not specific to elements of topics or PE. Independent learning. Can also be used for other subjects. Works best when printing the stickers on Herma Premium - 48, 5 x 25, 4mm (http://www.herma.co.uk/en/product-catalogue/labels/address-labels/sender/labels-a4-superprint-4474.html) If you have any issues, please email me at missbutterworth.pe@gmail.com All attached documents and resources have ‘no copyright infringement intended’, all images have been found on google or authorisation has been gained from the original author to utilise in the various resources.

NEW INTRODUCTORY PRICE This growing set of over 30 sticker designs addresses the most common errors seen by school teachers across the globe. Keep students aware and engaged with their targets 'on the go' by adding them as stickers to an optional, specially designed bookmark.Instead of just writing comments in books, only to have them hidden from view as students turn to a new page each day, add your most common comments as fast and effective stickers to each students personal bookmark. This way they have a visual reminder of their targets as they work, and a handy editing tool for when they've finished. Alternatively, stick them in books as a faster method than writing the comment.
