Unfortunately for economics teachers, many students think of this subject as one of the most dry and boring courses ever. The good news is, it doesn't have to be this way! One easy way to increase student enjoyment while still keeping them deeply engaged in highly relevant subject matter is to show the class episodes of the excellent free online series Crash Course Economics. The script of each episode is packed with humorous observations -- ones that help to make strong points about the economic concepts under study. Students like watching the series, which means they pay attention to it and learn! Just as importantly, this series has a way of presenting economic models in a clear, concise way using examples and anecdotes that high school students can *really* relate to! Produced by PBS Digital Studios, each episode of Crash Course contains about 10 minutes of content plus a brief time for the credits. Money is part of all our lives. Whether we’re rich or poor; a saver or a spender; a tight wad or a sharer, it’s always on our minds. But if you learn to control money, it won’t take control of you. My Money is a great project aimed at getting finance education into every primary and secondary school. It was run by the Personal Finance Education Group charity (pfeg) with EdComs, National Children’s Bureau (NCB) and the PSHE Association. This guide provides lots of helpful information about money management and how to approach it with your classes.

It's great to see the Olympics bring so many people together, uniting and inspiring so many in Britain. To be a great sports hero requires many &'divine&'; qualities such as patience, determination, endurance, courage and enthusiasm - and brings so much joy. On TV tonight, discussion on the 'exclusive&' nature of sports - equestrian / sailing. But everyone is getting so much joy in watching. The discussion itself should lead to improvements which bring more people into the different sports. I&';d love to see more games (such as Indian Kabadi) from around the world into the Olympics, too.

This is a summary of all the case studies for the 2013 spec of WJEC B GCSE Geography. Some of these are no longer needed on new spec and some case studies now needed are missing but sure there are many which will overall so hope they are of use.
