Based on the new Primary Curriculum for English (draft). Each week includes themed word list, practice space. wordsearch and anagrams. Explanation of the rules included as needed. Year 5/6 Spellings book. Comprises of a booklet with double page spreads for each set of spellings. There are 37 sets of spellling altogether - so will last the entire school year. Spellings are grouped by rule and at the end in alphabetical order according to the new word list. Each double page spread features: The spelling rule with explanation and examples. 2 activities: the first activity is always look, say, cover, write, check. The second activity varies throughout the booklet but includes: wordsearch with 'find the missing word', dictionary work e.g. alphabetical order & definitions, pyramid words, backwards words, breaking down into syllables, colouring vowels/silent letters, etc. Covers the rules plus word lists for new curriculum. Wordsearch answers included.
