In the Scottish curriculum students will do a personal/reflective piece of writing. This scheme has been created for this unit. But can be adapted between year groups (S2-S4/Year 9-11). Resources are attached. It focuses on creative writing, narrative hooks, using sensory language, reflecting on past events. Can be followed up with desert island discs (search for on TES) or a speaking and listening task such as This is Your Life. Can also adapt and use for non fiction writing with a focus on biographies and autobiographies.

This resource can be used to assist with planning as it outlines text features of biography and autobiography writing to be covered in lessons and provides progression options for learners of different abilities. It does not provide additional materials e.g. explanatory slides, exemplars or lesson plans. Students would benefit from whole class/small group modelling of how to use success criteria before attempting to use the success criteria independently.
There are 3 levels of differentiation for some resources. The easiest level is suitable for Year 2 students (age 6), the mid level is suitable for Year 3-4 (aged 7-8), and the high level is suitable for Year 5-6 (ages 8-10+).

This original product is provided through web-based Google file sharing, contained on the Internet 'cloud' and allows you and your students to access, edit, and print files from any computer or device. Students work on their report template directly in the file on their device or computer. This product will also work with Microsoft OneDrive (instructions included!)
