Labels for your writing table and area complete with some photos I took of my resources.

These Boho style name labels can be edited using Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) and displayed on tables, coat pegs or even behaviour support systems.
They come in black or white writing and can easily be edited to the wording of your choice.

Personal use only. Not to be shared with others.

Invest students in building their vocabulary, increasing their spelling and improving their handwriting all while having fun! For this worksheet, students will draw an image on the table and then write what it is below. The drawing will allow great student buy-in and will hook them into wanting to label it. As students develop they can describe their image with more words and/or larger words!
This activity works perfectly as an introduction to a lesson, a fun homework, a quick assessment after learning new letters, or a Do Now to get students thinking!
Check out my alternative Draw and Label worksheets too!
W.K.2, W.1.2

Contains 11 worksheets to help students recap key techniques and examples of descriptive writing that can be used as models for students' own writing.
I'd appreciate your feedback should you choose to purchase this resource (positive or constructive).

These are dyslexia friendly labels that I have made and used across my classroom e.g. multilink, Numicon, clipboards etc. Each label has a yellow background, blue writing and is written in Comic Sans with an accompanying picture. I have found this to be a supportive practice for all of the children in my class.

This presentation provides three days of teaching that cover the objectives:
Divide numbers just beyond the times tables (no remainders).
Divide numbers just beyond the times tables, becoming aware that there may sometimes be a ‘remainder’.
Divide numbers just beyond the times tables (with remainders).
It includes starter activities, whole class teaching, group activities, practice sheets and mastery questions. It can be used on a variety of interactive whiteboards.
Day 1 Teaching
Write 65 ÷ 5, then sketch a line from 0 to 65. We could draw every hop of 5, but we don’t need to! Are there more than 10 lots of 5 in 65? Draw a jotting to show 10 lots of 5 to 50 and 3 lots of 5 to 65. Add: 10 lots + 3 lots = 13 lots of 5. Repeat for 70 ÷ 5, 52 ÷ 4 and 42 ÷ 3.
Day 2 Teaching
Write 54 ÷ 3. How many 3s in 54? More than 10? Where do 10 lots of 3 get to on the line? How much is left? How many 3s? Draw an empty number line jotting to show this, writing 10 × 3 then 8 × 3. Repeat with other divisions, e.g. 112 ÷ 8 and 51 ÷ 3. Use an ENL to find 43 ÷ 3. Once you get to 42, point out that there is 1 left over. If we had 43 children and we wanted to put them into groups of 3, we’d have 14 groups and 1 child left over. We call this ‘left over’ number a remainder. This is an important word to remember…
Day 3 Teaching
Write 46 ÷ 3. Children help you to sketch an ENL a jotting: a jump of 10 × 3 to 30, then a jump of 5 × 3 to 45. Point to the gap between 45 and 46. Label it ‘r1’ to stand for remainder 1. There is 1 left over. Repeat for 78 ÷ 5, 115 ÷ 5 and 51 ÷ 4.
This teaching is part of Hamilton’s Year 3 Multiplication and Division block. Each Hamilton maths block contains a complete set of planning and resources to teach a term’s worth of objectives for one of the National Curriculum for England’s maths areas.

Children start by exploring the wonderful book We are Britain. They learn how all these different children with different backgrounds all make up our country. They use this model to create a class book using labels, captions and diary entries.
Suitable for Years 1 / 2.

Game of Scoot:
There are many variations to the game. Here’s one:Lay cards around the classroom. When the teacher calls ‘scoot’ students pick up a card and write their response on the provided Recording Sheet. Students can only move when ‘scoot’ is called out. If the student does not finish solving the problem on a card, he/she can continue to spend more time on it, but must wait till the teacher calls out ‘scoot’. You can also have this as a silent activity where students move around quietly solving all the task cards without the teacher calling out ‘scoot’.
At the culmination of the activity, project the cards on the interactive whiteboard and discuss the answers with the class. Alternatively, place answer sheets at a Centre for students to self-check.PREPARATION

Wish you a successful academic year! Thank you for your purchase.

The class points are A3 X3. I laminated mine and then write the points on in whiteboard pen. Children can get individual points next to their names, or a table point, next to the table names. At the end of the week, we count them up and see who has won. The table labels are measured to fit in the IKEA Fiestad frames and they are displayed on the different tables so that supply or PPA teachers can take part in the behaviour management system too.

I've been making simple child initiated stimulus prompts, and here are some we use every day.
Vets - pet name, what's wrong, what did you do?
Construction area - writing about your model
Creative area - a label for models to encourage name writing, we use it for the junk modelling and creative table
Hope they save someone some time!

A whole lesson done with a top set year 11 group. After consideration of the thieving/ borrowing elements of the magpie, pupils work in groups of four. They circulate the room visiting different poetry stations (tables with four copies of the poems on). They must complete the grid on the first slide of the PPT to show personal response, key 'magpied' words and or phrases and gloss any phrases they don't know with the help of a dictionary. Feedback prompt slides for each poem are included in the lesson.
N.B Carol Ann Duffy's poem 'Over' cannot be included for copy right reasons. All other poems are labelled as 'activities' with this resource.

This is an activity that I have used with my Y11 students during their revision. It can be used in a number of ways. The general instructions of how to use it are:
1. Print off the power point slides (2 to a page works well)
2. Set up some tables and outline the shape of the periodic table
3. Put on the labels for the groups and the periods in the correct places
4. Write on a few elements
5. Give each student an element card which gives them a range of things they need to work out about the element as a starter
6. Ask the students to place their element where they think it should be
7. Use the question cards as a basis for a discussion about the periodic table (there are around 25 question cards so most students will be asked at least one thing.
There is lots in the power point and it can easily be differentiated
