Everything you need to make a fabulous interactive Characteristics of Effective Learning display! In my class I encourage the children to think about how they are learning / which characteristic they are demonstrating. They each have a card with 9 squares on it & aim to collect all the 9 different dinosaurs, which I've reduced in size for sticking onto their cards. There are 3 dinosaurs for each of the 3 Characteristics of Learning making 9 in total. For example Active Learning is represented by Stickosaur, Triatops & Happy-Rex. Each dinosaur comes with it's name and colour coded attibutes describing the dinosaur e.g Stickosaur - I stick at tasks, I pay attention to detail, I am not easily distracted. Also included are the display headers, dinosaur collecting cards and mini dinos. The files included are: - Dinosaur pictures x9 - Dinosaur names x 9 in different colours - Dinosaur attributes for each dinosaur (colour coded to the dino names) - Display Headers - How I learn cards (blank) - How I learn cards (with dinos to show where they go) - Mini Dinosaur pictures (to stick on the cards) Please note my daughter created these dinosaurs herself to avoid any potential copyright issues.

Unit 8 – The Herbivores Unit 9 – The Extinction Unit 10 – Could we bring dinosaurs back? The first dinosaurs lived on a large landmass called Pangaea and evolved from an earlier form of reptile named Chordates around 230 million years ago. All of the different continents on Earth were once connected so a dinosaur could walk from America all the way to Australia if it chose. Dinosaurs were all cold blood and like their reptile cousins, they have all the heat they need from the sun to warm their blood. The cold-blooded dinosaurs would lay their eggs and waited for their offspring to hatch and some of them may at this stage have been warm-blooded. Many dinosaurs were bigger than any of the animals we see today on earth. Some of the largest dinosaurs had over 1,000 trillion cells, like the Ultrasaurus. To put it in perspective we as humans have only 70 trillion cells. These huge animals could have weighed up to 50 tons, which is the same as a fully loaded truck. Then, there were other smaller dinosaurs, even smaller than a chicken and some could even fly and had feathers. Designed for both classroom & home / independent learning. Aimed at children and young adults who are looking to further their knowledge in all things Ancient History and Science. Audiobooks are all under 10 minutes, packed full of information that is easy for children of all ages to understand. Typically taking around 30-45 mins to complete per lesson.
