Weekly tutor time quiz - September 1

(0)
This resource is a 20 question tutor time/ form time quiz created on Microsoft Powerpoint suitable for KS3 and KS4 secondary students. I will publish a new 20 question quiz weekly during term time; this weeks quiz was created for September 2022 week 1, however it can be used at any date as the questions are not time/season dependent. I love doing a weekly quiz with my tutor group at the end of the week on a Friday morning - so its a great activity to start in formtime as we go back to school for the start of the new academic year! NOW INCLUDED - ANSWER SHEET AND LEADERSHIP BOARD SPREADSHEET There are 20 general knowledge questions in this quiz varying from geography, history, science and world trivia. The answers are provided across 2 slides at the end of the quiz - each answer is revealed per click. I would recommend for this quiz students get into groups of no more than 4 and the activity should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. Please keep an eye out for my weekly quizzes and review/leave feedback if possible. Also if you prefer the terminology ‘form time’ to ‘tutortime’ then I have provided an alternate title you can swap in at the side of slide 1 on the Powerpoint. KS1 Art Plan 5 week Unit - Seaside and Oceans

(1)
This resource is a set of 5 Art lessons based around the theme of the sea, oceans and water for KS1. The key skills that are taught include creating different tones and shades with paint and pencil, using shapes, patterns and lines and experimenting with different materials. There are 3 different artists used as inspiration, all of whom have painted the sea or water using very different techniques. The children have the opportunity to work alone for 4 lessons and part of a collaborative group project for the final lesson. They have lots of opportunity to choose what materials they work with. The 15 page pdf lesson plans are very detailed and include a list of any resources you will need to get out of the cupboard. There are also details of curriculum links and examples of work from my classes. I have included the simple 7 slide PowerPoint I used for the series of lessons, which contains examples of the artists’ work around which the lessons are based. I hope you enjoy the lessons! They are great fun!

The Gingerbread Man Unit Planning Year 1 3 weeks

(0)
A 3 week unit of work for Year 1 based on the Gingerbread Man. Narrative and Non-fiction. 2 weeks focusing on narrative and then 1 week on instructions. This plan can easily be stretched to 4 weeks as I tend to block my lessons to get more done, especially when doing a longer write with Year 1. I have provided most of the resources you will need to teach this unit but not included flipcharts as everyone teaches differently and some prefer powerpoint not ActivPrimary. Before this unit, I sent requests to parents and friends to ask them to send poststcards to school as it linked to our Geography for the term.
