Originally made for revision and consolidation in Year 5 and 6 but might suit other years too. Answer keys included. Please check the preview to see if the calculations provide an appropriate range of challenge for your students. SAVE by purchasing this as part of a Fractions of a Amounts Activities BUNDLE (coming soon), along with my Fractions of Amounts Differentiated Treasure Hunt, which can be purchased separately if required. You can also purchase it as part of my bigger Fractions Activities BUNDLE, along with Hidden Word Puzzles for a variety of Fractions concepts. If you prefer, you can also purchase the Fractions Puzzles Worksheets as part of my Fractions, Decimals and Percentages BUNDLE Print and laminate the Four in a Row boards for regular use. The boards were originally designed in A3 to work especially well with larger groups but you can scale it down to print in A4 if required or preferred. There are 6 game boards, two for each level of challenge, indicated with a star system, with one star being the least challenging. The one star version includes only unit fractions of small numbers. The two star version includes fractions of larger two-digit numbers, while the three star version progresses to fractions of three and four-digit numbers. Students work strategically as pairs against pairs or one against one to get four correct answers in a row - horizontally, vertically or diagonally. They roll a dice each time to decide from which column to pick a calculation (the columns are numbered 1-6). If there are no calculations left in the column whose number they have rolled, they either skip a go or roll again (depending on the rules you choose). Student write their answers on the board with a dry-wipe marker. They can either use a different coloured marker to record answers on the board or add an initial or symbol if using the same colour as their opponent. Answer keys can also be printed for student checking. The first main part of the lesson uses knowledge of equivalent fractions to convert fractions to decimals and percentages by converting to an equivalent fraction out of 100. Pupils then learn to convert fractions to decimals and percentages through using short division, introducing recurring decimals. Pupils then practice applying their new knowledge to ordering a mixture of fractions, decimals and percentages. And finally pupils review their learning through Fractions decimals and percentages BINGO. Feedback Appreciated

This bundle includes 50 full tests (with 36 questions) to practice with as well as 100 daily arithmetic practices (with ten questions each) for your class. Great for early morning or starters. The daily practices provide the ability to track the children’s confidence in different areas. The full tests look just like the real things and the composition of questions are based on the real thing too. With both the full tests and the daliy practices, there are three different sizes for each test: All the questions on a page (or two on a page for the daily practices). A condensed version when compared to the real tests to save paper but still have that 'real test feel’ A full-sized arithmetic test For the daily practices, the objectives and question types from genuine arithmetic tests have been spread out across sets of ten tests. Ensuring both variety and repetition. With the daily practices, each question fits in an area: Written Multiplication Written Division Written Addition Written Subtraction Mental Multiplication Mental Division Mental Addition Mental Subtraction Multiply/Divide by 10/100/1000 Add Fractions Subtract Fractions Multiply Fractions Divide Fractions Fractions of a Number Order of Operations Percentages For the majority of areas, three levels of questions have been provided. Each test comes with a few questions from each challenge level so some questions are accessible to everyone whilst others will provide a challenge to your most able. For example, with ‘Written Multiplication’, Level 1 includes two digits x one digit or three digits x one digit, Level 2 includes three digits x two digits and four digits x four digits and Level 3 includes multiplying whole numbers by decimals. Not only that but assessment tracking has also been provided for the daily practices. Each day, the children or you can record on the QLA tracking sheet. This allows you to quickly identify gaps and support children. The sheet allows for identification of what the level of the question was that they struggled with. Great for KS2 SATs preparation and revision. Instructions are provided on how to do this.
