This resource covers a wide range of topics within the national curriculum, providing an excellent opportunity for children to consolidate their understanding of place value.
This interactive quiz is perfect for use in the classroom or as a last day maths activity, leaving the children wanting more. Don’t miss out on this must-have resource for any Key Stage 2 teacher looking to enhance their place value lessons.
This bundle includes 50 full tests (with 36 questions) to practice with as well as 100 daily arithmetic practices (with ten questions each) for your class. Great for early morning or starters. The daily practices provide the ability to track the children’s confidence in different areas.
The full tests look just like the real things and the composition of questions are based on the real thing too.
With both the full tests and the daliy practices, there are three different sizes for each test:
All the questions on a page (or two on a page for the daily practices).

A full-sized arithmetic test
For the daily practices, the objectives and question types from genuine arithmetic tests have been spread out across sets of ten tests. Ensuring both variety and repetition.
With the daily practices, each question fits in an area:
Written Multiplication
Written Division
Written Addition
Written Subtraction
Mental Multiplication

Add Fractions
Subtract Fractions
Multiply Fractions

Each test comes with a few questions from each challenge level so some questions are accessible to everyone whilst others will provide a challenge to your most able. For example, with ‘Written Multiplication’, Level 1 includes two digits x one digit or three digits x one digit, Level 2 includes three digits x two digits and four digits x four digits and Level 3 includes multiplying whole numbers by decimals.
Not only that but assessment tracking has also been provided for the daily practices. Each day, the children or you can record on the QLA tracking sheet. This allows you to quickly identify gaps and support children. The sheet allows for identification of what the level of the question was that they struggled with. Great for KS2 SATs preparation and revision. Instructions are provided on how to do this.

4-in-a-row game on multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000. A playing board and cards are provided.
One set of cards will cover the whole playing board so they need to be divided in two halves and printed in 2 different colours
I find that laminating the game board and printing the cards on coloured card gives the game longevity.
Rules:
Players choose a colour each and place all their cards in a pile face down.
Players decide on who goes first (rock, paper, scissors or youngest etc.)
First player will turn over their top card and work out the answer (players can discuss answer or check together)
Next they find their answer on the playing board and place their card face up on that space (there are 6 answers each repeated 6 times to give a choice to where to go).
Players then take it in turns to have their go and place their card on their chosen space (with the correct answer on).
The winning player is the first to achieve 4-in-a-row either horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
Have fun!

A powerpoint game dealing with partitioning numbers between 11 - 29 using place value cards. Ideal as a starter or plenary, I have used this with a mixed year 1 - 2 class. You should be able edit it and change the colour of the place value cards to correspond with the ones children use in your class.
A lesson on ordering and comparing large numbers. Powerpoint contains: a video for visual learners, sentence starters to encourage maths talk and inequality symbols to print out. Differentiated worksheets included. Aimed at SEND Year 8 students but can easily be used for KS1 & 2 or KS3 intervention groups. Dyslexic friendly font and powerpoint.
This resource contains a free set of three differentiated worksheets based on using addition and subtraction with word problems. I created this for a Year 3 class but it could easily be used for other age groups. This resource is to give you an idea of what the rest of my word problem resources are like which are for sale. Hope you enjoy it!
This resource works well with my FREE presentation:
Addition & Subtraction: Presentation on Partitioning, Number Lines & Column Method
SAVE money by buying this as part of my Maths Bundle (over 30 worksheets!)
Math Bundle: Addition & Subtraction
General Math Worksheet Notes:
Besides the learning objective, there is a colour in brackets. The colour refers to which worksheet would be most suitable for which differentiated group. The colours below represent the following ability.
★ Red - Lower Ability
★ Orange - Middle Ability
★ Green - High Ability
I use the apple at the top right-hand side of the sheet for pupil self-evaluation. I get the students to colour the apple in the following colours:
★ Red - I don’t understand (please help me)
★ Orange - I am okay but need more practice
★ Green - I have met the objective and am ready for another challenge
This helps me to identify which students will need help during the next lesson, ensuring I look through their work carefully to work out what misconceptions they may be having.
Comments, suggestions, feedback and questions always welcomed!
