These resources focus on the best way to revise, the different revision styles - what has been proven to work vs what doesn't, managing your time, building up your confidence and memory to succeed in exams and setting yourself personal goals and smart targets for revision, exam success and more. Each one lasts an hour and could be used in three 20 min tutor time sessions a week for a Study Skills focus.

This bundle contains 20 lessons for the ‘Social Stratification’ section of the new GCSE Sociology specification. This bundle was updated in March 2020 so that all of the PowerPoints are in the standard format and, consequently, more easy to edit than before.
Whilst it is useful to any teacher of Sociology, it was designed for the new AQA Sociology GCSE specification (8192) taught from September 2017.
It is designed to be a self-contained, comprehensive and complete resource: everything a teacher/department need to teach the social stratification section of the course.

A professionally designed Christmas quiz for teachers of Food & Nutrition to use with KS3-5 students, featuring 60 well-presented questions, and an answer sheet.

Fifty of the questions are all Christmas-related and not connected to a specific school-subject: the final ten are subject specific and deal either with GCSE terminology of “fun facts”.
Differentiation can easily be achieved by changing quiz group sizes. The quiz is suitable for KS3-5.
Completing and peer-marking the 60-question quiz should take the best part of a 1-hour lesson.

These question prompt cards aim to bring metacognitive questioning into your teaching practice. Each card has five questions that follow the general themes:
Grey - Before & During Tasks
Blue - After Tasks
Green - Metacognition & Metacognitive Skills
Yellow - Critical Thinking & Higher-Order Thought
Orange - Deep-Metacognition
There are twenty cards and a total of 100 individual metacognitive question prompts.
A teacher with these at their hand will find bringing metacognitive reflection through casual questioning very easy; this in turn will foster metacognitive thinking in their students.
Printing: These cards are meant to be printed 4 per page and then cut accordingly: this makes them a ‘pocket-tool’ for any educational practitioner. You can keep them as cards (perhaps laminating them) or, if you staple them together, you can make them into a useful booklet of metacognition question prompts quite easily!
