Included in this PowerPoint is 15 slides covering 15 of the key Year 3 learning objectives from the new National Curriculum (see pictures for example slides). This Teach, Practise, Extend PowerPoint resource focuses on finding 10 and 100 more or less and is linked to the Year 3 National Curriculum. In total there are six slides: Slides 1/2/4 (teach) - Detailed teaching points of how to find 10 more or less than a number. Slide 4 explains how to find 100 more or less than a number. Slide 3/5 (practise) - Children need to find 10 more or less than a set of numbers. On slide 5 children need to find 100 more or less of a set of numbers. Slide 6 (extend) - Children have to apply their new skills by finding 10 and 100 more or less of a set of numbers as well as solve a number of word problems. The resource is colourfully designed and can clearly be seen from a distance making it ideal to display on the Interactive Whiteboard and providing you with a straightforward and highly effective teaching resource. However what makes these loop cards different to other packs is that they are differentiated, meaning that all the children in the group/class can be challenged or participate in the activity.
