FROM CELEBS TO SPAM - the Ultimate Christmas and End of Year Quiz for 2018! This quiz is a whirlwind tour of the crazy year that was 2018, through The World Cup and Brexit to Trump and Marmite Spouts. This quiz will definitely raise a few smiles and giggles for the end of term and is interactive, caters for every taste, editable and best suited to secondary students (although could be used with upper KS2). All answers are included, as is a score sheet, and there are hidden YouTube clip commiseration prizes for when you get a question wrong. The quiz lasts between 45 mins to an hour and can either be played having the answers revealed as you go along, or the board can be paused and the answers read out at the end (you can play either in teams or individually). One hour, fully resourced lesson (PowerPoint, worksheets, clip tasks, activities, all differentiated three ways) which focuses on the importance of respect and introduces different ways of easily showing respect in a variety of relationships and settings. Respect is the main focus of this year’s anti-bullying week, so this lesson would be useful schools focusing on that. The lesson is adaptable, easy to follow and fully differentiated. It could be used by a Citizenship, PSHE or Tutor group. It was made for KS3 / 4 but could be adapted too. This resource pack includes an hour long PowerPoint with accompanying worksheets, templates, well differentiated activities, literacy focus tasks, clip tasks with three-way differentiated questions and information sheets. The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. Following the popularity of last year’s quiz, here is this year’s Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2018. It is an end of term and end of year quiz for use with your classes or tutor groups with various subjects from the previous ten school months. Each round is a month from September 2017 until and including July 2018, containing questions about events that were happening during that time. In addition, there are bonus rounds mixed in on popular films, television programmes and music from this period. A tiebreaker is also included if the teams cannot be separated at the end. An answer sheet has been included for teams to write their answers. Simply print this out, load up the slides and away you go! Pupils can mark each other’s answers too, meaning there is no planning and no marking required.

There are three differentiated worksheets that give examples children can write balanced arguments about.
