This resource contains four well-known recent speeches by famous women (Angelina Jolie, Emma Watson, Michelle Obama and Theresa May) which are excellent for linguistic and rhetorical analysis.
This is a useful exercise for pupils studying persuasive writing and effective rhetoric. Not only do these speeches allow students to analyse how famous orators have used language, but they also inspire and teach how pupils can use language in their own persuasive writing too.
Each speech is transcribed here and some contain designated space for analysis and answers to questions based on common GCSE exam tasks.

Malala Yousafzai lesson on speech and speech analysis hat looks at how to use language techniques such as repetition, pronouns, hyperbole, emotive language and more to engage an audience. Students analyse Malala’s 2013 speech to the United Nations and then write their own detailed analytical paragraphs - a scaffold and model are provided. Useful for English Language lessons but also for KS3 as well. May be useful for AQA English Language Paper 2 Section A exam preparation.

This resource contains a persuasive speech by Malala highlighting the inequality in education received by girls and boys in Pakistan and how she spoke up against the Taliban. This is suitable for Year 10 students who need to learn/refresh their persuasive writing skills. It was developed in preparation for the iGCSE English language exam, however, would be suitable for any other exams requiring students to write persuasively.
The first page contains an abridged version of the speech where students can identify a number of persuasive techniques (video link also included). This highlights the fact that these techniques are actually used in real life, not just in exams. The next page contains a series of questions based on the scenario that your class will not be able to sit their exams due to a global pandemic and asking them to explore their feelings towards this. This can be related to COVID and also to the daily reality in Pakistan for girls that Malala spoke about. The final task asks students to write their own persuasive speech to their head teacher to fight this injustice.

The Real Christmas is a free resource that I’ve created as an easy way to work Speech and Language, reading, logical thinking, memory, pre-writing and writing, fine motor skills, history while giving you the opportunity to teach them why we celebrate Christmas from the Christian faith.
This resource although can be used really for every child was created thinking mostly for Special Needs Education like Down Syndrome, Autism, etc
Parents can use it at home or therapists, I would say this can be for different ages depending where the child is in his development.
I created this from scratch drawing the main characters myself and enjoyed it as I will use it too, and is not easy to find resources that are made to support the SEN in particular and, from a Christian perspective.
I hope it meets the needs of your children and that you both enjoy.

Edexcel IGCSE English Language Paper 1 Q6 and Q7/transactional writing/non-fiction writing/speech writing lesson that supports students in understanding the differences between writing to argue and writing to persuade through the stimulus of the benefits and problems of social media.
