Three resources in one document that will need two one hour lessons to complete or one lesson followed by homework. This has been written for the teaching the new AQA A level Geography however this unit is also found within the other A level Geography specifications. Resource 1 - Sorting activity related to the carbon and water cycle. This helps with synoptic links and includes a section that links the water cycle to carbon fluxes by volcanoes. Resource 2 - Model answer for the following question - Assess the extent to which there are interrelationships between processes in water cycle and factors driving change in the carbon cycle. (20 marks) Resource 3 - An alternative question with a plan to help students to apply knowledge from one essay question to another. This helps them to develop their skills in applying their knowledge to different questions.

These resources are for the OCR A Level Geography Paper 3 Geographical Applications - Disease Dilemmas topic. In particular, they focus on Section 4: how far can diseases be predicted and mitigated against? There are three resources designed to increase students' confidence with assessment. Two of the resources are based on global mobility (the overarching theme to Section 4, although none of the bullet points in the specification directly address it) and encourage students to draw synoptic and evaluative links with the content - therefore targeting the 12 and 33 markers. The third resource is a set of eight Section A-style 3 and 6 mark questions (with resources) based on the Section 4 content.
