Maths Challenge Sheets (Autumn Term)

(0)
I have created 14 weeks worth of maths challenge sheets - each has 6 different tasks which revisit and build on what is being taught through the term. These can be used as starter tasks, morning tasks, early finishers or for homework each week. Included: 4 weeks on Place Value, 3 weeks on Addition and Subtraction, 2 weeks on length and perimeter, 3 weeks on multiplication and devision, 2 weeks on consolidation from the term. I have targeted these to my Year 4 class, but could be used in Year 3 for challenges or Year 5 to revisit past topics. Enjoy Miss CLT

**Follows White Rose Schemes of Learning ** Each worksheet (there is one for each ‘small step’) has three sections: Varied Fluency, Further Fluency and Reasoning and Problem Solving. The ‘Varied Fluency’ and ‘Further Fluency’ sections, which are designed using similar representations found in the White Rose Schemes, are intended to be sliced and placed into one half of the learner’s exercise book, leaving the other half free for the learners to record their working out. The questions from the ‘Reasoning and Problem’ section are designed to be cut and stuck individually into exercise books, so that children can record their working out and thinking - a bit like a journal. The idea of journalling is something new to me, which I am trying with my class for the first time this year. We hope you find these worksheets useful and save you time planning. We aim to produce resources which are of the highest quality - we strongly believe that the visual aspects of these worksheets enable deep understanding of the areas being taught. Once you have used these resources, we would love to hear what worked particularly well and what could be improved on: we often edit our resources. Thank you for taking your time to browse this resource! @MathsteryByMrJ

Autumn Winter Sensory Story

(12)
This is a sensory story I created for my topic 'seasons'. This was written for a PMLD/ CLDD class. I have written it with the sentence, the sense, the sensory experience and what I and my TAs are looking for and observing throughout the sessions. Repeat story throughout the term to enable the child to develop anticipation, investigation, awareness, preference and much more. Could also be used in an EYFS KS1 class.
