4th July Maths Fractions 4th of July Fourths To practice finding fractions of different whole numbers. To practice finding fractions of different amounts of money. All fractions used are quarters: one quarter, two quarters and three quarters. All answers are included. Directions: For Tasks 1 and 2: Give each student a question sheet and a matching answer sheet. Students answer all the questions and cross the answers off on the answer sheet. There will be one number left over, so you can easily check if they are getting it right. Ask the students to make up a question for the left-over answer. For Task 3: Give the students a single question sheet. Notes: You can easily mark each sheet by just checking the final answer. The worksheets can be used as a whole lesson, or as practice questions, tests or homework. … This resource is a pdf document. It contains all the worksheets for your students, as well as answer sheets and teacher’s notes. It is printable in colour or black and white. You may want to send your students just the worksheets. To do this, open up the pdf document. Click print and select print to pdf. Select the page numbers of the worksheets you want to include. This will create a new pdf document with only the worksheets you want to send. 4th of July Emergent Reader Booklets and Presentation - Students first read and cut out the booklet that contains text and illustrations. They then sketch and create their own version using the text only template. Each booklet contains 8 pages: the title page with 7 additional pages containing words associated with the 4th of July such as fireworks, barbecue, picnic, etc. Also included are suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page. The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the vocabulary. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text.

Are you planning a summer get together in the back yard? Are you working with a summer enrichment program and want to create a photo booth for your kiddos? Are you looking for a fun activity to do with your own kiddos? If any of these scenarios apply, look no more… you have found the perfect activity.
