Two templates that can be shared with your new class to find out information about them. Both can be used as a digital activity by sharing them: through your canva education class as a seesaw activity as an embedded pdf on OneNote as a png image for children to add as a background to PicCollage as part of a class book on book creator (copy the image onto multiple pages for each child to fill in) as a background on a jamboard Or print the blank one off and use as a paer based task.

This is a resource for meeting your new class. I trimmed the questions, glued them on to large piece so paper and paired the children up. They then had to make their way around the room to each station answering the Bloom's questions. This encourages deepened thinking and also gives you a good idea of the current depth of the children's thinking, whilst also giving you information about what the children like in a classroom, teacher etc.

PRIMARY back to school activities for meeting a new class. This is a great one-off literacy activity and a wonderful teamwork project to help your new class work together to make a class poem. In this getting to know you activity pupils work together to create a new class poem using the letters in the name of their class. The pack contains a Powerpoint lesson, teacher instructions and pupil resources - everything you need for this fun poetry lesson, including icebreaker games and a mini class performance at the end. The activity allows pupils to bond as they make a class poem that spells out the name of their new class.
