Careers + Post-16 Options - For the Gatsby Benchmark Careers Guidelines. 1-2 hour fully resourced careers lesson which introduces the concept of careers, jobs and vocations before investigating the best ways students can establish the right career paths for them. The lesson sees students creating a six point plan based on the provided information, clip tasks and other activities and is perfect as an introduction lesson for a PSHE / Citizenship careers unit. This resource pack includes a one hour long PowerPoint with accompanying worksheets, well differentiated activities, literacy focus tasks, clip tasks with three-way differentiated questions and information sheets. The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is useful for PSHE, Citizenship or Tutor Time. As with all our lessons, you don’t need any prior knowledge as all the information is included - you can just pick up and teach it. I have designed a 2 week ( 10 sessions) writing plan for KS1, Years 1 and 2, based on the wonderful story of ‘Lost and Found’ by Oliver Jeffers. Every session includes all recources needed and notes for tasks and whole class teaching. This resource also includes 5 reading activities linked to the story, along with all resources. I have also included some ideas for links to PE and Art, as well as suggested internet sites that can be used to enhance learning. These plans can easily be adapted for an EYFS topic and this topic has been a firm favourite of mine to teach for many years now. Two worksheets: The first a straight forward worksheet that introduces the idea of Plans and Elevations, the second a set of puzzles where the idea is to try and build the objects using multi-link given the front elevation, side elevation and plan view.
