Nursery Rhyme Yearly Progression Document

After an OFSTED inspection in EYFS it came to my understanding that they look for a progression document for Nursery Rhymes. We use Nursery Rhymes everyday however I didn’t have the document to prove this. There was nothing online to show a clear document with Nursery Rhymes on therefore I made my own. Now I have clear progression documents and it makes it easier for me as I know each week which Nursery Rhyme my class are focusing on. Includes appropriate ELG.

Continuous Provision Planning EYFS - With progression and challenge

(0)
This continuous provision planning suggests areas to be included in Nursery & Reception continuous provision & the resources to include - resources are progressive and levelled to encourage challenge. Planning also supports adult interactions by suggesting key skills & vocab to encourage/ model as the children play in each of the areas. The continuous provision plan is broken down into suggestions for High, Middle and Low Reception and High, Middle and Low Nursery - so that children of all abilities can be suitably challenged. This continuous provision planning was well received during an Ofsted visit in April 2023 as it showed how children were being challenged during child initiated time through continuous provision and adult interactions. Print This continuous provision planning on A3 and display the planning sheets in the areas of the classroom to support staff. The resources on continuous provision plan will remain constant throughout the year. All areas of the classroom can then be regularly enhanced when appropriate to match topics, interests or to encourage children to work here that do not usually. All resources in the continuous provision should be stored neatly. Children need to be supported in knowing how to tidy the continuous provision effectively with photos on boxes of where things go and a photo on the shelf to signal where each box goes. As well as this a photo of the area when it is tidy could be displayed.

EYFS Understanding the World Progress Model This UTW progress model lists the small steps of skills and knowledge to be taught in F1 and F2, linked to Science, Geography, History, RE and Computing as well as how this links to KS1. It was a really useful document for both EYFS practitioners and subject leaders to have during our recent Ofsted in October 2022, where we were rated Outstanding in all areas, to be able to show how our UTW curriculum in EYFS ensures children are gaining the skills they need to be successful beyond EYFS. Our EYFS curriculum was designed by using Development Matters as a starting point, which we then added to in order to create an ambitious and engaging curriculum.

Pupil Progress Performance Grids

(0)
For use alongside data captures and discussions about pupil progress, this succinct performance grid enables observers to gauge and categorise department and individual teacher approaches to pupil progress data, using OFSTED guidance. The first page of the document provides descriptors of 'outstanding', 'good', 'requires improvement' and 'inadequate' feedback within appropriately considered focus areas, for example: Rate of Progress, Accuracy, Noticing Trends and Plotting Interventions, etc. Schools that already employ this tool often opt to highlight the descriptors on this page as they complete the scrutiny, thus creating a bigger picture of the strengths and areas for improvement observed. This can also be a helpful aid in arriving at an overall judgement, should your school opt to arrive at one. The second page allows observers to further pinpoint and describe the 'www' (what went well) and 'ebi' (even better if) aspects of the feedback, to aid teacher/department in improving their practice.

SEN/Progression Steps Maths Planning - Whole Year

(0)
This years worth of Maths planning was planned using the progression steps for an autistic child in my class who had a one to one TA. The child was in Year 6 but working towards the Year 1 curriculum so activities planned are based on the progression steps leading up to National Curriculum 1. Most activities were planned using resources from Twinkl but any others I will have made myself and can send across if required. Planning was written for TA who delivered sessions with child outside of the class room in their own working space but could definitely be adapted for wide range of uses and would make a great starting point for planning for children with special needs working at a similar ability mentioned above.
