An assembly about the SMART rules of e-safety.
Useful to present around Safer Internet Day but relevant for any time of the year.
It was originally written for a KS2 class to perform to the whole school but could easily be adapted for more or less speakers.
We gave out red/green flashcards to the audience to encourage audience participation.
NOTE: I have removed some images on the PowerPoint and replaced with advice on what to insert instead as I didn’t want to share some of the personal examples we used.

It is fully editable, engaging and very easy to follow. Please note this is an updated version of one of our previous primary lessons.

Elevate Resources presents this 5 page article which may be used as part of work around Safer Internet Day.
The article examines the balance between children’s online freedom and safety factors, and is followed by 16 SATs style reading comprehension questions for non-fiction text from assessment focuses: Word Meaning, Retrieval, Summarising, Inference, Prediction, & Choice of Words to Enhance Meaning.
This is a PowerPoint with a focus on screen time for safer internet day. It can be used in assembly and contains discussion questions for the students to talk about. It could be delivered online or in front of the class. It could also be used to share with your own class rather than as an assembly.
An editable Facebook Profile page that children can fill in with their details. After they have filled it in, a discussion about what information they’d cross out and not share with a total stranger can take place.

A whole day’s worth of symbolised lessons and activities for Safer Internet Day, including worksheets, sorting cards, scenarios, stories, online educational gaming and videos. I have created an assembly with twenty slides, each fully scripted in the notes section. The PowerPoint is very visual to make an interesting presentation and animations are subtle. I have carefully edited the script so you can read it word-for-word without changing a thing.
