End of Term Quiz #2Quick View

End of Term Quiz #2

After the popularity of my first one, I thought I'd share my latest one An interactive, End of Term Quiz. This has a variety of rounds - TV Intros, Children's Literature, Film, Science, Dingbats etc. There's nothing really time-sensitive here: although there is a slight Christmas flavour to the movie round. It's aimed to be accessible across the Key Stages - I've done it with 7s (with a few clues) up to 13s. It should happily take up a lesson - the answers are included at the back.

Jesus : Who is responsible for His death?

Jesus : Who is responsible for His death? This resource contains six Fact Files on characters that are relating to the Passion narrative within the Bible. Pupils can be divided into groups and asked to collect evidence on each character and build up a convincing argument as to why this person may be responsible for Jesus death. This activity works well when ended with a class debate on this topic.

St. Columba crosswordsQuick View

St. Columba crosswords

Learn and play at the same time! ‘St. Columba’ crosswords were designed not just for creating ‘busy-work’ for students, but for engaging the students in the learning process and enhancing their learning experience. Crosswords are well-known as being a very popular activity with students. They offer a simple and creative way to incorporate active learning into your teaching! Learning Intentions The puzzle clues for both crosswords were developed in alignment with the learning objectives for the lesson: St. Columba’s life’: ✶ to identify 3-4 facts about St. Columba’s life and works; ✶ to explain the key words: illuminated letters, conversion, missionary, monk and pilgrimage. Differentiation All your students can benefit from this resource. The clues are differentiated to suit all ability levels. The crosswords are further differentiated by giving the pupils the option to choose the activity they want to do for each crossword. There are three versions that you can use Both crosswords are suitable to be used for homework, during class activities or for revision. Just print as many copies of the crossword puzzle as you need. You may want to give each student a copy or, you may consider giving the students the option to work in pairs. You can encourage your students to interact with each other while completing the puzzle to identify possible misconceptions they may have about St. Columba’s life. *************************************************************************** This resource contains: ✶ Cover ✶ Preview ✶ Teacher Notes ✶ Crossword 1 ✶ Answers crossword 1 ✶ Crossword 2 ✶ Answers crossword 2 ✶ TOU/Credits PAGE COUNT: 13 ************************************************************************** Related Resources All puzzles ***************************************************************************
