This lesson was designed for Year 11 as a reminder of how to answer each ‘style’ exam question.
Students are given a pack of student copies of model answers. I ‘walked’ students through how to approach each style question, providing sentence stems where possible and modeled expectations. Students then annotated their student copy of answers and fed back. The actual marks awarded are then revealed to students and highlighted according to the skill demonstrated which meets the success criteria. Students then planned answers to the questions in exercise book as a class or independently.
At the end students where given a copy of the marked model answers, and the ppt was printed and laminated for them into a ‘flip chart’ style cue card set to support with independent study
