FDP revision

I created this resource for my KS3 classes (middle-sets) to stretch and challenge their ability. I wanted to challenge them with questions that revolved around calculating fractions, decimals and percentages, as well as other aspects (i.e. area, perimeter, metric/imperial unit conversions). I also created a pre-RAG sheet for pupils to judge how good they felt they were before attempting the resource. They also filled out a post-RAG sheet to assess how well they did on the worksheet and compare themselves with how they felt at the start. The questions are all levelled according to the new curriculum. This can also be used for KS4.

A worksheet on the different types of volume questions on the Edexcel GCSE exams, including pyramids, cones and spheres. I am getting to the stage with my year 11s that they need to be revising individualised topics rather than me teaching the whole class. I have designed this for them to work independently, without relying on my help. It contains examples, practice questions and exam questions that my students have lost marks on in previous mocks. Answers included. I hope this is useful! Please look at my other revision resources.

Designed for higher tier GCSE students, this resource includes two questions on each of the key skills. I use one as an example and one as independent pupil activity. The pdf exactly matches the flipchart. Both demonstrate drawing the histogram, drawing a frequency table from a histogram, moving forwards and backwards between graph and table and, finally, some applications questions modelled on Edexcel's harder questions.

Fractions Revision

This is a quick resource designed for revising the four operators on fractions. It starts with multiplication and division then moves on to addition and subtraction. I worked through an example in the large white space in the speech bubble, then gave the students an opportunity to work through the remaining three questions at the bottom. During the examples, I allowed my students to choose the numbers for the fractions (although I specified single digit numbers for both numerator and denominator) excluding the first addition and subtraction example (as these needed common denominators). The worksheets I intended on using were pieced together from worksheets found on the Corbett Maths website (worth checking out if you haven't already) - These have not been attached as there are also two slides containing question sets taken from the worksheets. These were included on the slideshow as a last minute idea as there were printing errors during my preparation for the lesson and thus do not have answers with them. Please note: This was used as a revision resource with a group that had already covered fractions. If you are downloading this for use with teaching as opposed to revising fractions, please take a look at the examples as they may need amending to be made more suitable. The animations on the question slides start automatically, so won't need a click to start but can be skipped with a click, if you want to speed things up. I hope this resource helps as a handy template. :)
