Snakes and Ladders Fitness

(0)
Engaging fitness game for both KS3 and KS4. Two ways to use this resource. 1- Print first two slides back to back. Students must roll a dice, and complete the corresponding exercise to move forward. This game board is smaller and you could set challenges of how many times they can complete the board. 2- Use slide 3 to be printed on A3, this could be laminated and students would only need to roll the dice. The square the counter is moved to details exercises they must complete. For both versions, when you hit a snakes head you must go down and when you reach the bottom of the ladder you can go up. Additional focus’ of the lesson can be added to fit in with your scheme of work.

Engaging fitness resource that is easy to use. Can be used for KS3 fitness lesson or wet weather activity for KS4. Students are given a theme for the lesson and they must think of a word. They use the scrabble values to total up how many ‘values’ they need to gain by doing exercise. The students will then use th exercise table to plan a small circuit to complete to gain the word. Recommendation: Print sheet back to back and if you can, laminate the resource so students can use whiteboard pens to ensure you can use the resource over and over again.

Slides to be printed and laminated to use within PE lessons to support students in performing the exercise correctly. Challenge boxes on each slide to push the student further if they find the exercise too easy. Can use powerpoint to add your own exercises in to suit your lesson.
