This is a mock paper i created especially for the NCFE Level 2 Technical Award. With the limitations on resources available, this paper focuses on what students learnt in Unit 1 Starting a Business or Enterprise. In particular Learning outcome 1, ‘Understanding how businesses and enterprises are started’ and parts of learning outcome 2, ‘Understanding what should be included in a business plan’. Business aims and objectives Business legal structures Business stakeholders Entrepreneurial characteristics and Skills The sections of a business plan. I have also included a mark sheet with possible answers I tried to match this paper as close to what NCFE would produce and so giving students extra opportunities to make progress.

This resources is great for NQT teachers who have just started teaching CIE AS Economics and want to go through some exam techniques with their Y12 students, which will already help to prepare them for class assessments, online assessments, mocks and AS exam in June 2021. Slides 2-4 covers CIE MCQ paper explained Slides 5-46, these slides cover a whole MCQ paper 2, including examiner report highlights. Slide 47-52, looks at CIE AS Economics - Writing a prefect essay. Slides 53-61 looks at evaluation technqiues in CIE Economics. As additional help, i have scripted the PowerPoint slides, so you will find a script in each speaker note.

This is a great resource for someone teaching economics (CIE) for the first time, each slides additional commentary to help as a guide when explaining some of the more tricker economic topics.
