This is a resource I developed to be used either in school or at home. It allows students to apply creative, problem solving and practical skills to transform an everyday product. It explores sustainability and encourages students to focus on a high quality end product.

I created this Powerpoint presentation and worksheet to compliment the STEM lesson on Bridges and Forces, which can be found via the link below. https://www.teachengineering.org/activities/view/cub_brid_lesson01_activity1 The presentation is a good way of introducing the lesson and includes brief notes taken from the lengthier script on the website. Whilst the website provides a worksheet and lesson plan, there are no clear instructions to allow the students to set up the investigation, so I created my own.

A 4-6 week project encouraging students to design using existing materials. As well as applying knowledge of sustainability students will demonstrate creative and practical skills.
