These 9 slides on P E E, can be printed off in A4 or A3 size to work as a great resource for students to remember their P E E structure. It also holds sentence starters, which could be applied when analysing a range of topics. I have attached a photo of how I decided to arrange this display.

This 16 slides display is in PDF and can be printed off as A4 or A3. It is a great visual resource for students to remember Propp’s character theory.

To ensure all students are challenged in a lesson I like using Thinking Hard Mats, when exploring media products. This template can be modified and changed to suit the topic and product that you are studying. As the two products in this template are audiovisual I would have shared these mats electronically, so they can watch the videos as they are completing the work. If you are using print products, you can obviously print them off for students to fill out.

This is a workshop I have enjoyed doing for a couple of years now. It involves the students creating a short story called “The Stand Off”. This task can obviously be a preproduction task to an actual production of a e.g. short film, or just a general introduction to Storyboarding. I have also attached the storyboard template I like to use, which can obviously be amended to suit your teaching.
