This Sensory Story was written for our PMLD learners for the Ancient Egypt topic. Consisting of a PDF booklet and a story mat, the story is written in poem format which allows for easy adaptation for use in EYFS settings. A table of suggested sensory resources is included on each page. Most of these are designed to be resourced using objects that are relatively easy to find.

This Alien sensory story continues our “You Might be” series of simple sensory based stories that are based around a single character concept. Your learner can dress up as the character or just explore each element. You can easily create an immersive sensory space for Aliens by lighting up the room red and green or hanging Silver emergency blankets to represent a spacecraft.

You might be Santa forms part of our “You might be” style sensory story collection. These stories are based around becoming the character by adding props or a costume. They are super simple and designed to appeal to as wide a range of learners and curriculum topics as possible. To deliver the story collect all the sensory objects in a bag, box, or, in this particular instance, Father Christmas’s sack. Afterward, the article is removed either upon or following the reading of the specified statement.
