This pack comes with a PowerPoint, Excel Printable wordsearch and two appropriate YouTube videos of four and three minutes long as an extension. The PowerPoint is thirteen slides long and is a crash course on basic Viking history, particularly focussed on their success in invading other countries and exploration. There are two discussions for the class to have: ‘Why were the Vikings so Successful?’ and ‘Was Ragnarr Lodbrok a real viking’? The first one attempts to get the class to engage with the factors given as to Viking success and the second gives three evidences (one for, two against) as to whether the legendary viking was real. The background of each slide is off-white so the presentation is more accessible to those with a visual impairment. This lesson is appropriate for middling sets in year 7 to lower sets in year 8. The date on all slides updates itself.
