This treasure hunt has been designed to support the White Rose Maths Year 9 scheme of work.
Treasure Hunt activities promote cooperative learning and engagement by pupils working in pairs to find the correct answer. It can be used as the main lesson activity to determine what learning has taken place and also it is a great revision exercise.
This treasure Hunt is differentiated to three levels; red, amber and green. The red treasure hunt is the easiest and focuses on fluency of reading stem and leaf diagrams and drawing them. The amber level introduces some reasoning and problem solving; were as the green level is the most difficult involving problem solving of finding missing values given a known average.
