In this free introduction lesson, students find out what the club involves, learn about the purpose, audience and form of an opinion piece, and write out short headlines and straplines for their own articles on their favourite sports stars.
This exciting resource for KS3 and KS4 students could be used for an after school or lunch time club, with students exploring non-fiction writing and combining their love of sports with English learning.
Throughout the club sessions, we will be covering opinion pieces, reports, match reports, preview articles, interviews and more.
