Learning about flowers or Spring?

Want to acknowledge ‘Plant a Flower Day’ which is celebrated on March 12th?

Or just have a love for flowers in general?

Grab this free wordsearch and have your kids find familiar flowers in the grid and learn the names of new ones. As usual they’ll also correct and reaffirm spellings, as well as exercise pattern recognition skills.

Why not extend the activity:

  • open a discussion as to which flowers they have seen / have in their garden
  • name different books / songs / movies which feature flowers
  • ask them to draw a sketch of some flowers
  • run a flower-crafting session
  • reiterate the importance of flowers (Science and well-being)
  • decide which flower they would like to plant and grow in the classroom or at home

Enjoy :)
