A lesson lasting one hour in duration on William Blake’s ‘London’. Suitable for KS4 students (mixed and higher ability - lesson is fully differentiated.)

Activities include: entry task on the context of ‘A Christmas Carol’ with images to remind students that a number of our studied texts share context; challenge objective and key vocabulary; read the poem and match the context to key quotes within it (support slide with suggested quotes provided; notes and a differentiated labelling task; a make your own QQT card to recap learning so far; carousel of quotes to explode with model; answer a differentiated question to sum up learning.
