10 starter-style I-D-E-A (Identify, Describe, Explain, Apply) starters covering 10 topics on the theme of British Values. Students complete the ones they are comfortable with (eg lower ability complete 'Identify' where they simply can list their thoughts, higher ability complete 'Explain' and 'Apply' where more detail and sentences can be used. Some of the next one can then be completed based on what they thought, to push them a little further.

The idea behind these is to get students to become more literate and think independently about the words that could be used to describe the topic being taught. Often the students will pick up on things that you would not normally expect!
