16 Geographical Challenges The Missing Letters

Presentation used in a number of ways in KS3 or 4 Geography. 16 categories of Geographical knowledge (African Nations, Great Rivers, British Cities etc) are displayed with most letters missing. Students are tasked with filling in the gaps, perhaps with use of an Atlas and using prior knowledge. Each of the 16 tasks is focussed by the use of an embedded timer set at 1 minute, although use of this is at the teachers discretion. Each task is also supported by a printable (black & white) slide which can be used for appropriate homework or to support cover lessons.
