I work with the children naming the shape and its properties to create the cards (if they are printed on card they are better). We then use the next session to play top trumps for 2D shapes.

A great resource! Saved me time making my own - very grateful! Have changed a few of the criteria to suit my LKS2 class, including number of right angles and parallel sides to test them on the shape vocabulary. Super idea and super resource! Many thanks
