Starter: How can we improve the properties of a metal?
The lesson then covers:

Changing properties - melting and boiling points
Independent research task (completed using the text book or internet)
Plenary: Past paper practice questions

All tasks are differentiated by input as bronze, silver and gold challenges which students can self-select or be directed to. Extension tasks are also included on the slides. Stretch and challenge question also included.
