Launching empty plastic bottles into space is a fun way to demonstrate how much air pressure is needed to move objects of varying size, in this video resource for use in KS2 science lessons. Scientist Dr. Mark Biddiss constructs a makeshift launch pad to show children how varying volumes of air are needed to project small, medium-sized and large bottles.
