A random question to add or subtract directed numbers is created in the yellow box with working shown to combine the two signs in the blue box with the solution shown in the green box.
A dynamic numberline is shown on the left and initial and final direction arrows can be shown by selecting the option boxes. The final direction arrows change direction if a negative number is added or subtracted.
Select blue and green areas to reveal method and solution. The starting and final answer positions are shown on the dynamic numberline.
