Three Great Lesson Ideas for primary geography which are simple, fun and easy to replicate.

The Bingo Game involves each group having two cards with locations on the top - one local, one overseas. Images from home and abroad have to be sorted onto the correct card. With ambiguous photos, pupils can be ‘tricked’ into placing locations on the wrong board offering a chance to combat stereotypes.

The Dice Game uses dice covered in photos, some with overseas localities, some with local photos. Guided questions help pupils investigate how much they can glean from photos.

The dice idea looks really useful as an interactive, different and fun idea. I intend to use it. I guess it can be adapted for teaching other subjects as well, e.g. history. Thank you!

Good, detailed planning with a video clip which models how to carry out the idea. Nice activity to encourage discussion and reasoning.
