In this activity (recommended by @Karenshancock) students start by folding a piece of A4 into a kite. They are next challenged (and it is a challenge) to prove that the resulting shape really is a kite. They will need to know Pythagoras's theorem. The pictures are just larger versions of the ones in the document.

Great, challenging and engaging activity for higher level students to use to explore mathematical proof.
