PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMMENT ON THIS RESOURCE - ESPECIALLY IF YOU DOWNLOAD IT. This lesson looks at the forms of protest in the 1800's - the Luddites and Swing Rioters. The sheets are differentiated in that the Swing Rioters source sheet is aimed at the more able students (more complex sources) and the Luddites sheet is aimed at the less able (easier sources - more direct language). The idea is that the pupils investigate one type of protest and feedback to the class. This would probably cover approx 30-40 minutes of the lesson so I'll leave the rest to you!
