In this unit, the children will work have experience of the original poem and a simplified version of the story.
They will complete 3 extended writing pieces (1 character description, 1 diary entry and 1 narrative)
They will revise and use figurative language, modal verbs, passive voice, cohesive devises and conjunctions. They will see examples of text which have all the requirements needed to achieve EXP on the TAFF.
I found this unit to be very beneficial in the run up to SATS.
