American Colonies: Food in America's Colonies Station Activity(CCSS)
Colonial America: Food in America's Colonies Station Activity engages students in their study of Colonial America through this fun activity focused on the foods of Colonial America. Students read informational texts on the different kinds of food in Colonial America. Students engage in an activity to “create” a pie, a very common food in Colonial America. There are three options for activities dependent on the resources available to you. The activity is rounded out with a reflective journal entry on the Colonial America activity. We learn more through experience, and this activity provides students the opportunity to explore in a visual and kinesthetic way life in Colonial America.
